چکیده
Microalgae are currently considered to be a promising feedstock for biodiesel production. However, significant research efforts crucial improve the current biomass and lipid productivities under real outdoor production conditions. In this context, batch, continuous semi-continuous operation regimes were compared during Spring/Summer seasons in 2.6 m3 tubular photobioreactors select most suitable one of oleaginous microalga Nannochloropsis oceanica. Results obtained revealed that N. oceanica grown using enabled 1.5-fold increase volumetric productivity cultivated batch. The was 1.7-fold higher cultivation than batch regime. On other hand, spent nearly double amount water Interestingly, biochemical profile produced different not affected regarding contents proteins, lipids fatty acids. Overall, these results show regime is more oceanica, significantly improving at large-scale, which factor

Effect of Nitrogen Source on Biomass and Lipid Production of a Marine Microalga, Nannochloropsis oceanica IMET1
The effects of the nitrogen sources sodium nitrate (NaNO3) and urea (CH4N2O) on growth, lipid production, and fatty acid composition of Nannochloropsis oceanica IMET1 were investigated. Nitrogen source affected cell density, dry cell weight, and lipid production. Cells grown in the nitrate medium increased dry cell weight and lipid weight in comparison with cells grown in the urea medium. The c...
متن کاملLipid and Biomass Production by the Halotolerant Microalga Nannochloropsis salina
The effect of environmental factors on cell-lipid content, on the growth rate and on the overall productivity ofNannochloropsis salina was tested in the laboratory and in outdoor cultures. Under optimum conditions in the laboratory, the maximum growth rate (#max.) was 0"030 h -1, which corresponds to a doubling time of 23 h. Cellular lipid content was affected by the phase of growth and the tem...
متن کاملWavelength shift strategy to enhance lipid productivity of Nannochloropsis gaditana
Background Microalgae, being a phototroph, grow in the presence of light, and utilizing photons in narrow and specific range of wavelengths. There have been numerous attempts to take advantage of this trait of wavelength-dependent growth for the purpose of increasing biomass productivity. One potential option involves wavelength conversion of sunlight. In the present study, three fluorescent dy...
متن کاملComparison of the Growth Performance of Nannochloropsis oceanica IMET1 and Nannochloropsis gaditana CCMP526 under Various Culture Conditions
We studied the growth performance of Nannochloropsis oceanica IMET1 under various culture conditions, including different CO2 concentrations, temperature, or light intensities compared with that of N. gaditana CCMP526. When CO2 concentrations were changed, the growth rates of N. oceanica IMET1 and N. gaditana CCMP526 were the highest at a CO2 concentration of 2 vol%. N. oceanica IMET1 had a hig...
متن کاملEffects of overexpression of a bHLH transcription factor on biomass and lipid production in Nannochloropsis salina
BACKGROUND Microalgae are considered promising alternative energy sources because they consume CO2 and accumulate large amounts of lipids that can be used as biofuel. Nannochloropsis is a particularly promising microalga due to its high growth rate and lipid content, and the availability of genomic information. Transcription factors (TFs) are global regulators of biological pathways by up- or d...
